Painted by Dopiya Gurruwiwi who is Djalu Gurruwiwi’s wife. The two serpents are our sacred totem which is the olive python or the rainbow serpent. We call it ‘Wititj’. Wititj creates lightning and thunder. The yidaki in the middle is called ‘Baywara’ which is lightning. Coming out of the yidaki is the lightning which is the sound that Wititj makes. The dots are the rainbow, ‘Djari’ that can been seen on the back of the Wititj. The rest of the cross-hatching also represents the rainbow ‘Djari’.
